Initial game menu inacessible

Post by Pylo » 26 March 2017, 15:47

Hi,
Game loaded and played fine until a week ago, now when it gets to the game menu the screen seems split. I can move the cursor over the animation/left side, but it stops me from accessing the menu.
I've tried rolling back the driver and reinstalling the game but no good. I'm using an Alienware Alpha which, as said, has previously played the game excellently.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks in advance...

1. Open 'Windows Explorer' or 'File Explorer' from the taskbar.
2. Open the Local Disk '(C:)' under 'Computer' or 'This PC'.
3. Open the folder 'Users' then the folder of your Windows username.
4. Open the folder 'AppData' (*) then the folder 'Local'.
5. Open the folder 'SpaceHulkGame' then 'Saved' and 'Config'.
6. Rename the folder 'WindowsNoEditor'.
7. Run the game.

(*) The 'AppData' folder is an hidden folder by default, to view this folder:

WINDOWS 7
- Open 'Windows Explorer' from the taskbar.
- Click 'Organize' from the top left then 'Folder and search options'.
- Click the tab 'View' and check 'Show hidden files, folders and drives' under 'Hidden files and folders' from 'Advanced Settings'.
- Click the button 'OK'.

WINDOWS 8/WINDOWS 10
- Open 'File Explorer' from the taskbar.
- Click the tab 'View' and check 'Hidden items'.

Thank you, that fixed it perfectly. Just out of interest (and as a clue to fixing possible future issues) what had caused the problem?
