Community Update 29/12/16

Post by Netheos » 29 December 2016, 16:47

Greetings Brothers!

It's been 2 weeks since the release of Space Hulk: Deathwing. We're pleased to see many of you purging hordes of Genestealers and our first priority was to eliminate any game breaking bugs, crashes and severe FPS drops preventing you from enjoying the game.

We released two hotfixes in the last 10 days and we hope many of you are now better able to enjoy the game!

That said, we’re aware that some players are experiencing occasional lobby connection errors and performance issues, and that’s our current focus as we continue to read your messages on social media.

We're currently working on further performances improvements, better controller support and other smaller additions. We aim at a third hotfix at the beginning of January before a big update later in the month.

As always, your feedback is valuable for us to resolve any technical issues as soon as possible. You can report your issues in the technical section of the official forum. We’d also recommend consulting our Technical FAQ, Gameplay Tips and Known Issues & helpful workarounds threads.

Thanks for letting us know what your plans are in the next future. Could you make a statement about what is coming with the "big update" you mentioned?

Thanks for the update! I'm particularly looking forward to hear more about that "big update" ;)

Happy new year all!
Please forgive me the horror we both know you will make me put you through.

Sadly, I am now experiencing the Fatal Error crash in multiplayer when hosting (AMD CPU). It worked fine until the 1.06 Hotfix, but as we progressed through the game I am now crashing in Chapter 5 & Chapter 6, which is effectively putting our game on hold.

We decided to wait with playing until the end of January (coincidentally I'm going to upgrade to a i5-6600K by then) and hope it will work. Remember, the Emperor abhores failure.

(Apparently the aim went off. Who would have thought? Of course dairy cattle don't deserve any explanation or information about it.) - I'm wrong here, there was a hotfix.

You are wrong GreySeer, they launch it 4 january:

1.08

Enter the game, and you can see up and right in the main menu that the current version is 1.08

The next one will be a big patch, and they said they will launch at the end of january.

Ahhh...Now I know what how feel my brother every day... I have third-degree burns from shame. My only excuse (I admits that miserable one) is the random form of updates and the lack of updates on Steams "News" as well as negative emotions that this game and its developers and publishers fills me with.

I apologize for my false slanders in my last post in this topic. Maybe I fundamentally disagree with you Rioku a number of issues but thanks you for showing me that I was wrong here.

We didn't publish a Steam news about the last hotfix because the main goal of the update was to ease community testing in game. It was a very small update in term of fixes and features. Beta builds and public build are now properly separated and it will ease a lot the tests in the future. You can find the announcement here.

We're still aiming at January for the next big update. We'll communicate about it as soon as possible.
